Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Progressing as a Sith Warrior

Posted by admin | SWTOR Sith Warrior Guide | Saturday 9 July 2011 9:51 am

Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Class Progression will lead players towards one of the classes two current specializations, either Juggernaut or Marauder. As a juggernaut the Sith Warrior will be especially capable of absorbing punishment from their foes. The marauder, on the other hand, is a dual wielding damage dealer.

Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Class Progression gives you a large number of crowd control abilities before level ten, starting with your first trained skill, Impale. Impale is a high damage, short duration, single target stun. Smash, an area of effect stun, follows at level six then the ranged stun Force Choke at eight. At level ten you get an upgrade to your force charge. These are going to be the classes bread and butter skills, allowing the Sith Warrior to help control the flow and location of battle, isolate targets, and keep enemies focused on attacking him.

Levels ten to thirty of Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Class Progression are much more oriented on dealing damage. Soresu Form, level twelve, helps you generate Rage for your abilities while increasing your chance to glance attacks. Whirling Assault, level fourteen, is a close range area of effect attack. Unleash, level sixteen, frees you from crowd control effects and grants you immunity to them. Berserk, level twenty four, grants immediate action points at the cost of 10% of your total health. Saber throw, level twenty six, finally gives you a ranged attack that doesn’t force you to run headlong into whatever you’ve decided to attack. Additionally Saber throw generates three rage. After this batch of skills only three powerful abilities remain: Surge, Invincible and Force Crush.

Surge, gained at level thirty six, is another short range crowd controlling spell which deals medium levels of damage to your target while knocking back and dealing light damage to up to eight other enemies. Invincible, level forty-two, is fairly self explanatory. While Invincible is active all incoming damage is reduced by 80% for six seconds and you become, effectively, invincible. Your final ability, Force Crush, is gained at level forty-six. Force Crush suspends a target in the air and, if the ability finishes channeling, it deals massive amounts of damage. This ability seems a bit outside the norm for the class as it is a ranged channeled ability, but with a fairly quick three second casting time it can be used if you pick your

Here’s an overview of Sith Warrior and Companions. For more information and gameplay recommendations, check out this SWTOR Sith Warrior Guide.

The Sith Warriors form the cream of the army of the Sith Empire. They are ruthless fighters who strike with force and determination. Their terrifying attacks are as lethal as the Inquisitors dark operations. They are strong and attack with all their might. In Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Sith Warrior and Companions, the warriors are the ones who lead the fight. They are responsible for destroying enemy ranks and establishing Sith dominion in the galaxy.

They operate by ridding themselves of all emotion so that they become a brutal being with no weakness. To become a Sith Warrior, acolytes have to be incapable of anger, hatred or fear. They must be able to attack without second thoughts. Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Sith Warrior and Companions looks at the relationship the Sith Warrior has with the rest of the Sith classes. The Warrior is a leader in all aspects. They lead the rest in war and can be seen at the frontline.

Their boldness and discipline commands respect from the rest of the Sith Empire and their command is followed to the latter. While the Inquisitors will manipulate and exploit the enemy, the Warriors will strike with no remorse or fear. They are known to encourage comrades but have little patience for incompetence. They are after results. Their cold-blooded nature evokes fear and terror in enemies and they are dreaded by all foes. Their determination to destroy is evident in their stride. They aim for the target and never lose focus, often throwing themselves in the heart of the battlefield for head-on tackle.

When a Warrior is in battle, the intensity of their fight will be evident. They leave complete destruction in their wake and no enemy can flee from their powerful strikes. For this, they are loyally followed by subjects and have the respect of the other classes of fighters. They work as a team, having realized that it they can bring down the notorious Jedi in a short time if they stick together.

Star Wars the Old Republic Sith Warrior: Sith Warrior and Companions looks at the sole goal of the Warrior, which is to destroy the Jedi. That is what they are trained to do. They employ a host of tactics for this including assault, vicious slash, impale, smash, unleash, saber throw and whirling assault. Their movements are fast and vigorous. When combined with Force abilities, they disable the enemy in no time.

There are two Sith Warrior specializations which are the Sith Juggernaut and the Sith Marauder. The Juggernaut is known for its strong stamina on the battlefield. Using the strength of the Force along with dedicated diligence, the Sith Juggernaut is not an easy character to take down. This SWTOR Sith Warrior specialization is best described as a tank. The class is able to deal heavy damage on enemies and protect allies at the same time. This class is dressed in heavy armor and fight using a single lightsaber.

The other Sith Warrior specialization is the Sith Marauder. This sub-class is more effective in dealing damage than tanking. With the ability to wield two sabers simultaneously, the Marauder deals critical damage and rarely shows mercy. The Marauder is most effective when going against a Jedi Knight, one-on-one than any of the other Sith Empire classes.
